By accessing and using the RAC Body Cam evidence storage and management system (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

The Service allows users to upload video and image evidence files, which are assigned unique evidence codes. These evidence codes can be used to access and view the uploaded evidence. The Service is designed for law enforcement and authorized personnel use.

3. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

Ensuring all uploaded content is legitimate evidence and legally obtained
Maintaining the confidentiality of evidence codes
Using the Service only for lawful purposes
Providing accurate information when uploading evidence
Not uploading content that violates any laws or regulations

4. Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload any content that:

Is illegal, harmful, or violates any applicable laws
Contains inappropriate, offensive, or graphic content without proper authorization
Infringes on the rights of others, including intellectual property rights
Contains malicious code, viruses, or other harmful components
Is false, misleading, or fraudulent

5. Evidence Code Security

Evidence codes are unique identifiers that provide access to uploaded evidence. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of evidence codes. Sharing evidence codes with unauthorized parties may result in unauthorized access to evidence.

6. Content Moderation

The Service includes a reporting mechanism for inappropriate content. Evidence that receives multiple reports may be automatically taken down pending review. Administrators reserve the right to remove or restrict access to any content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

7. Intellectual Property

By uploading content to the Service, you retain ownership of your content. However, you grant the Service a license to store, display, and process your content as necessary to provide the Service. The Service's logo, design, and software remain the property of the Service provider.

8. Data Storage and Retention

Evidence files are stored securely using cloud storage services. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important evidence.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service provider from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms or engages in prohibited activities. Evidence may be removed or access restricted at our discretion.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
